Danielle N.

Veterinary Assistant

Danielle was born and raised in Colorado and always grew up with a miniature zoo in her house. She graduated from Colorado State University in May 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Zoology. During semester breaks, she worked at a small animal practice in Gilroy, California, where her parents moved. Danielle began working there in the summer of 2018.

She moved back to Colorado in January 2022 with her two cats, Olaf and Penelope, to live with her then fiancé, Dalton, and his husky, Luna. Since then, Danielle and her husband have added two more huskies, Lupin and Tonks, who were fosters of Dr. Grillo’s. Danielle also has a tortoise, Speed Bump, whom she has had since she was five years old.

Danielle graduated from San Juan College in Farmington, New Mexico, with her associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology in August of 2025. Her next step is to pass the VTNE to become a registered veterinary technician. She joined the VCA Wingate team upon moving back to Colorado, growing from extern to veterinary assistant, and now also serves as the hospital’s safety champion.

When Danielle is not at work, you can find her attending country concerts, enjoying local breweries, and traveling around the country to visit every NFL stadium with her husband. She cheers mostly for the Denver Broncos, but can occasionally be found cheering on her husband’s team, the Philadelphia Eagles, when the Broncos are not playing them. Go Broncos!
