Keirsten is a veterinary assistant at VCA Allenwood Animal Hospital in Allenwood, New Jersey, where she supports patient care with a compassionate, patient-first approach focused on trust, patience, and advocacy. Since joining the team in 2021, she has been dedicated to helping pets feel safe and supported, especially in moments when they may be stressed, vulnerable, or unsure.
Her path into veterinary medicine was driven by a lifelong passion for animals and a desire to make a difference in their care. Through hands-on training and continued education with Penn Foster, Keirsten has developed a thoughtful, attentive approach, with a special interest in neonatal patients and the extra level of care they require. She is especially drawn to helping the smallest and most vulnerable pets, where patience and attention to detail matter most.
“I love being able to help pets who can’t speak for themselves and make sure they’re getting the care they need.”
Growing up in Wall Township, Keirsten has always been connected to the local community. She began working with animals early on, volunteering at a shelter and assisting with trap-neuter-return (TNR) efforts. Those experiences shaped her strong sense of responsibility toward animal welfare and continue to influence the way she cares for patients today.
In her day-to-day work, Keirsten focuses on building trust with both pets and their owners. She understands that every patient is different, and she takes the time to approach each one with patience, calm handling, and genuine care, helping create a more comfortable and supportive experience.
“My approach is to treat every pet as my own and take the time to earn their trust.”
Keirsten is proud to care for pets and families in Allenwood and the surrounding communities. She is committed to continuing to grow her skills and knowledge, always looking for ways to better support her patients and strengthen the relationships she builds with clients every day.
