Dr. Hommel is a California native who grew up in the San Fernando Valley. She attended UC San Diego to complete a degree in Human Biology and a minor in Psychology. It was there that she started working in her first animal hospital and fell in love with the field of veterinary medicine.

Dr. Hommel went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from UC Davis in 2021. She moved straight in to general practice upon graduation, and most recently started with VCA Arroyo in 2023. Her special interests include feline medicine and cardiology.

In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends, finding new coffee spots, and spending time with her three rescue cats.
