Dr. Alicia Hines has been with VCA Boone Animal Hospital since 2015. She is originally from Medora in Southern Illinois and received her DVM from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.

If you asked her what her favorite thing about her job was, she’d say, “I enjoy the variety that comes with being a veterinarian. Within one day I can perform dentistry, surgery, and work on complicated medical cases. The best part though, is forming lasting relationships with families as they care for and enrich the lives of their pets.” She’s also interested in dentistry, surgery, feline medicine, and is active in the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Outside of work, Dr. Hines enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, yoga, gardening, and reading. Her furry family includes a dog named Beckett and two cats, Riesling and Edamame.
