Dr. Hwe was born and raised in Orange County, California. She graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Hwe then completed a small animal rotating internship focusing on emergency care at the Pet Emergency and Specialty Center, where she grew to love critical care. Her professional interests include inpatient care, surgery, toxicology, and endocrinology. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, camping, going on adventures with friends, and painting- especially portraits of animals. She has two dogs, named Mochi and Bean, and hopes to adopt more dogs named after food in the future.
