Leon C.
Veterinary Assistant Supervisor
Leon joined the VCA Columbia Animal Hospital at Centre Park team in April 2019. He first began his career in veterinary medicine seven years ago and has not looked back since. He has spent most of his career in general practice but has also spent some time interning at an emergency hospital, as well as an urgent care clinic. He wants to gain as much experience possible as a technician and aspires to take it to the next level as a veterinarian!

Leon has recently graduated from Morgan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. While attending college full-time and working part-time, he also made the decision to serve his country in the Maryland Army National Guard. He has been a service member since November 2014 and has recently achieved the rank of Second Lieutenant as a Commissioned Officer. In the future, Leon plans to continue to serve his country whilst also achieving his career goal by serving as an Army Veterinarian!

"At a young age I have always felt a natural connection to animals. When I found out that there was a Doctor specifically for animals, I knew immediately that was for me! Once I started working in this field, it felt nothing but natural and like a perfect fit. With that said, I don't think I will ever switch to another field!"
