Dr. Jessica Mintz is a graduate of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. She received advanced training in small animal medicine and surgery as an intern at a busy specialty and emergency hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico, before joining the VCA Crown Hill team. Dr. Mintz is originally from Syracuse, New York; she attended Williams College for undergraduate studies and has a master's degree in journalism from New York University. She was a business and technology reporter in Seattle before changing careers. Her professional interests include allergies, dermatology, behavior and caring for aging pets. Outside of work, Dr. Mintz can be found open-water swimming, biking and eating delicious food around town, or hanging out with her two dogs, Pooka and Macklemore.
