Dr. Cavalcanti grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where her love for cats inspired her to pursue veterinary medicine. She has completed extensive training across multiple countries, including surgery and oncology internships, residencies, and a surgical oncology fellowship in the United States.
Her career highlights include numerous scientific publications, serving as a reviewer for a veterinary oncology journal, and teaching internationally as an instructor with VetCam postgraduate advanced training in veterinary oncology. Dr. Cavalcanti recently joined VCA Animal Diagnostic Clinic in Dallas as a surgical oncologist.
