I always loved animals growing up. I was always around dogs, cats, rabbits and horses. My grandmom would take me to the local shelters to hang out with all the animals that needed homes. At that point, I knew I wanted to work around animals but I was not sure what I wanted to do with them. I took my family dog, Sheldon, to the vet when I was in high school and I was talking to the technician about her job, I knew right away that is what I wanted to do. I graduated from Harcum College for Veterinary Technicians in 2015 and decided to leave New Castle, DE, and move to the Eastern Shore. I worked at VCA for about 5 months then had to move back to Northern Delaware where I worked at an emergency hospital for small animals and exotics. As much as I loved working emergency, I realized I missed living at the beach. So me and my dogs, Princess and Blueberry, decided to move back and have been loving it! When I'm not working, I'm usually at the beach with my dogs, attending a music festival or hanging out with my friends/family.
"I could not imagine having any other job. I absolutely enjoy going to work every day knowing I am going to help animals out all day."
