Dr. Tabone grew up in DeSoto and graduated from DeSoto High School. He worked for DeSoto Animal Hospital while attending high school and college. Dr. Tabone is a 1993 graduate of the Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation, he worked at DeSoto Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian, until moving into the role of Medical Director in 1998.
Dr. Tabone enjoys his time off with his wife, Kate, and daughter, Dr. Amanda Tabone (now an associate veterinarian at a sister VCA hospital), along with their four-legged pets, Daisy and Winston. He enjoys fishing as often as possible....
April was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan, and moved to the Dallas area in 2008 because of the warmer climate! She joined the team at VCA DeSoto at that time. After graduating with her Veterinary Technician license from Cedar Valley College in 2012, April was promoted to our Technician Supervisor. She lives with her husband, Mark, and their two boys, along with her horses, Great Danes and Labradors. April loves to help with rescue groups, especially with bottle feeding and raising puppies and kittens from just days old.
