VCA Dublin Animal Hospital

Our Story

For more than 20 years, VCA Dublin Animal Hospital has proudly served the northern Colorado Springs community with hometown care and advanced medicine. Conveniently located right off I-25 near the U.S. Air Force Academy, we’ve become a trusted name for local families who want exceptional, compassionate veterinary care close to home.

Founded in the late 1990s by Dr. Lena Roeder, our hospital began as one of the few in the Mountain Southwest to treat exotic pets—and that pioneering spirit still drives us today.

We’re honored to have been AAHA-accredited for over two decades, a distinction earned by fewer than 15% of animal hospitals nationwide. This accreditation means we meet—and often exceed—over 900 standards of veterinary excellence, ensuring every patient receives the highest level of care in medicine, safety, surgery, and compassion.

Hometown Care at VCA Dublin Animal Hospital

At VCA Dublin, we believe in practicing “best medicine”—providing preventive care like vaccinations, wellness exams, spaying, and neutering to keep pets healthy, and only recommending additional tests or treatments when truly necessary. A pet’s right to live a comfortable, high-quality life—along with our deep respect and empathy for every client—form the foundation of how we practice veterinary medicine.

We’ve had the privilege of caring for generations of pets and families, watching puppies grow into seniors and families expand over the years. That long-standing trust and connection with our clients is at the heart of who we are.

Taking your pets to the vet doesn’t need to be stressful! Our veterinarians, technicians, and staff understand that a calm, relaxed, and happy pet is key to a great visit. We treat your animal as if they were our own—with kindness, patience, and love. And we don’t forget about you, either—you’ll always find free WiFi, coffee, and water to make your visit a little more comfortable.

To give your pets the most comprehensive care possible, we offer a wide range of in-hospital services, including ultrasound, echocardiograms, digital radiographs, dental procedures, and advanced surgeries. Our goal is to keep as much of your pet’s care under one roof, with a familiar team that knows your pet’s history and needs.
