Hello! My name is Dr. Kiersten Vala and I am the medical director at VCA Farmington Hills. I joined the doctor team in June 2022, right after graduating from Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine. I went to THE Ohio State University for my undergraduate studies and grew up down the street from Farmington Hills in Plymouth. I have a special interest in small animal nutrition though I am enjoying everything I see day-to-day in general practice.
I live in Livonia with my husband and our three pets: Lloyd, our Italian greyhound, Penelope, our calico cat and Josie, our newest addition. Josie is a gun dog who will spend lots of time retrieving birds in Northern Michigan when she is fully trained. We love watching movies on the couch and are doing lots of home renovations in our free time.
