Hello! My name is Dr. Kiersten Vala and I am the medical director at VCA Farmington Hills. I joined the doctor team in June 2022, right after graduating from Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine. I went to THE Ohio State University for my undergraduate studies and grew up down the street from Farmington Hills in Plymouth. I have a special interest in small animal nutrition though I am enjoying everything I see day-to-day in general practice.

I joined VCA Animal Hospitals in 2008 and have loved being part of the veterinary profession ever since. I share my home with two Dutch Shepherds, and we enjoy spending time together playing ball and staying active. My passion for animals runs deep, and I truly enjoy working at VCA Farmington Hills, where I can be part of a team that shares the same commitment to animal care.
