Dr. Vianca Hernandez joined VCA Foothill Veterinary Hospital in 2025. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, she earned her veterinary degree from St. George's University, School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Hernandez has a special interest in preventive medicine and nutrition, and is currently working toward certification in physical therapy.
What she loves most about being a veterinarian is the ability to relieve both pain for her patients and stress for their owners, helping to maintain that special human-animal bond for as long as possible. This is something she knows well from her own bond with her cherished Chihuahua, Penny.
Outside of work, Dr. Hernandez enjoys reading, playing board games, exploring new places, and delving into history—particularly the 18th to early 20th centuries.
