As a little girl, Dr. Hernandez was captivated by the Animal Ark book series, in which a young girl rescued animals with the help of her parents, both of whom were veterinarians. Inspired by these stories, Dr. Hernandez developed a lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian.
Dr. Hernandez grew up in the Buckeye State, Ohio. After graduating from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine, she returned to Ohio to practice medicine. After 2.5 years of cold Ohio nights, Dr. Hernandez decided to move to California to embrace new opportunities and explore the vibrant culture of the West Coast.
Dr. Hernandez has a keen interest in the fascinating, but often complex world of nutrition, which can have an impact on skin health, behavior, and longevity. She is dedicated to discussing the needs of each individual pet and creating a tailored plan that works for both the pet and the owner. Dr. Hernandez especially enjoys working with patients who have a bit more of a round shape.
Dr. Hernandez is proficient in performing routine surgeries, including spays, neuters, soft tissue surgeries, and mass removals. She is also experienced in veterinary dentistry, offering services ranging from basic cleanings to more complex procedures such as extractions and periodontal treatments.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Hernandez enjoys reading, playing with her corgi, Kirby, traveling to new places, and learning new facts and stories from history.
