Dr. Natalie Estep, DVM, DACVB, is a board-certified veterinary behaviorist and general practitioner. She graduated from Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, completed a rotating internship, and practiced general veterinary medicine for three years. In 2023, she earned board certification through the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists, a distinction held by fewer than 120 veterinarians in North America.
Before veterinary school, Dr. Estep spent nine years as a professional animal trainer. She also served as an active-duty Army veterinarian, specializing in military working dog behavior and medicine, and continues to serve in the Army Reserves. She works with all species on behavior concerns.
Dr. Estep has lectured nationally and internationally, publishing research in behavioral and marine mammal medicine. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, climbing, and hiking with her husband, Aavron, and their family.
