Dr. Rachel Mays received her B.S. in Animal Science from Cornell University in 2008. She graduated from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine in January 2014, completing her clinical year at Cornell University. A New York native, Dr. Mays has been practicing in the greater Bay Area since June 2015 and moved to Half Moon Bay in December 2018. Dr. Mays joined our staff in September of 2020. She loves all aspects of general practice, especially dermatology, internal medicine and neurology. Dr. Mays is most passionate about preventive medicine including parasite prevention, spay/neuter and regular dental care. In her free time, she enjoys hiking in the redwoods, crocheting, and spending time with her horse, Marley; dog, Mensche; cat, Lyra; hairless guinea pig, Ricky Baker; and her chickens.
