Dr. Dust graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981. After a few years of practice in Wisconsin, he assumed ownership of Heritage Animal Hospital, then located in Urbana, in 1987. As the practice steadily grew, it became apparent that a larger facility was needed and he moved the practice to its current location in 1995. In 2001, he partnered with VCA and we became VCA Heritage Animal Hospital. Dr. Dust enjoys working with both dogs and cats and is interested in all facets of veterinary medicine. He is particularly interest in surgery, nutrition, the environmental factors involved in medical problems and stresses the importance of communication skills as part of medical care. He and his wife, Barb, have two daughters, and a son. They also have two dogs, two cats, one granddog and two grandcats.
