Health Certificates

Traveling with your pet can be an exciting but stressful time.  Your airline, destination state, or destination country may require a health certificate issued by a USDA accredited veterinarian.  Here at IVS, all of our veterinarians have obtained their USDA accreditation and we are happy to walk you through getting a health certificate to travel with your pet.

Prior to your appointment please review the travel requirements for your destination country.  Some countries require a specific microchip, Rabies testing, intestinal/ectoparasite control, etc.  Since there are so many countries in the world, knowing the requirements, and the changes to the requirements, of all the countries is arduous.  The best place to start your research is the USDA website: https://www.aphis.usda.gov/aphis/pet-travel

Please review the requirements, the timeframe in which the health certificate can be issued in relation to your travel date, and give us a call if you have any questions.
