Sarah McKenny was born and raised in Dallas. She decided at age 11 that she wanted to be a veterinarian, fostering and volunteering for the SPCA throughout middle school and high school. She attended the University of Miami on a partial scholarship where she double majored in Ecosystem Science & Policy and Biology. Her veterinary degree was earned at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and her veterinary medical acupuncture certification was completed with a program formerly affiliated with Colorado State. When not working, her hobbies include traveling, comedy shows, brunch, interior design, book club, leisurely walks with her dog, Gemma, and relaxing with her cat, Dembe.
