Dr. Todd Jewell joined the VCA Kingwood Animal Hospital family at the beginning of 2022, but has been with VCA since 2006.

He is a native Texan and grew up in the Arlington/Fort Worth area. He attended the University of Texas-Arlington for his Bachelor's degree, studying architecture and biology. He received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University, and then completed a rotating medicine/surgical/emergency internship in North Carolina before entering private practice. He had the pleasure to live and practice in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area for about 15 years prior to moving back home to Texas.    

He really enjoys getting to develop close relationships with his clients and their family (pets) throughout their lives, and getting to work together as a team to determine the best way to manage their kiddo's health. Clinically, he especially enjoys soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, imaging, and internal medicine cases.    

When not at work, he enjoys getting to spend time with my family relaxing, traveling (pretty much anywhere or anytime he can), anything outdoors (hiking, camping, etc), and photography.
