Dr. Kathryn (Kat) Kammerer is a dedicated and experienced veterinarian with a lifelong passion for animal care and strengthening the human-animal bond. Originally from the scenic Wasatch Mountains of Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Kammerer earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Westminster University while working for a decade as a veterinary technician. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Washington State University.
Following graduation, Dr. Kammerer co-founded Red Barn Mobile Veterinary Services, where she served the Palouse region of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho for four years. Her career later brought her to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where she worked as a small animal associate veterinarian. Recently, Dr. Kammerer and her family returned to Utah to be closer to family and continue her professional journey in the community she calls home.
Dr. Kammerer has special interests in preventive care, internal medicine, geriatric health, and dentistry. Committed to a holistic approach to veterinary care, she is currently training to become a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist to further integrate alternative therapies into her practice.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Kammerer enjoys hiking, skiing, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
