Dr. Jo'n Gera graduated from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of Grenada, West Indies in January 2004. She completed three years of school on the island and a final year of veterinary school at the University of Florida. Dr. Gera always knew she wanted to become a veterinarian and enjoyed her unique experiences that allowed her to achieve her goal€¦which even included wrestling with an alligator in Florida. Dr. Gera keeps herself busy outside of work by spending time with her daughter and husband and extended family of pets: Ziggy the hound dog, Rainbow the blue-fronted Amazon, Cecil the exceptionally mean tortoise, Little Katie the guinea pig€¦ and the 6 Koi fish. She also enjoys working on crafts and hobbies, playing video games, and hopes to get back into snow skiing and mountain biking.
