Charity Calhoun has been in the veterinary profession for over 10 years. Having an early interest in domestic and wild animals, she started her career as a nurse's assistant at a local animal hospital at the age of 17. During her time as a nurse assistant, Charity went to Prince George's Community College, where she earned a Certificate of Completion in Veterinary Assistance.
While working as a technician, Charity developed skills in surgical assistance, dentistry, and laboratory diagnostics. In 2018, she became part of the VCA MacArthur family, training new assistants and technicians as the Technician Supervisor. In 2021, she accepted the role of Hospital Manager.
In her spare time, Charity enjoys spending time outdoors. Her favorite animals are otters and bunnies.
