Dr. Kafer is a California native who graduated from UC Davis in 2016. She came to Arizona upon graduation to complete a rotating internship and fell in love with the desert heat. She is passionate about all things emergency medicine but especially loves soft tissue surgery. Prior to attending veterinary school, Dr. Kafer worked as a Registered Veterinary Technician in California and has been working in veterinary emergency hospitals since 2003.

When Dr. Kafer isn't at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, crafting, and watching spooky movies.
