Dr. Kim Moore originally started with VCA in 2013. She graduated from Colorado State University in 2001 and has practiced in Colorado, Arizona, Mexico, Belize, and the Marshall Islands. She has been involved with shelter medicine, orthopedic surgery, and spay-neuter surgery. Helping owners take the best care of their pets is her primary goal.
She has recently joined VCA Mesa after a year and a half break from veterinary medicine, pursuing a ceramics degree at Cochise College in Douglas, Arizona. There she worked as a ceramic technician for the school, presented her works at local galleries in Bisbee, and helped with the ceramics department pit fire festival and wood kiln firing. She is now a ceramics technician volunteer at Mesa Arts Center.
Dr. Moore and her husband Mike are vintage Volkswagen enthusiasts and travel around the country camping out of their 1976 VW Bus. She has two adult children; one is a hairstylist in Los Angeles and the other is finishing a mathematics Phd at UofA.
They have many pets, including a Pug named Beans, a deaf cat named "White Cat," and a rooster named Charlie.
