Kim began her veterinary career while still in high school working at a small/large animal mixed practice. She became interested in veterinary management during her 15-year employment at VCA BAVS. She held the position of Executive Director of the Alameda County Veterinary Medical Association for six years. She joined VCA Lewelling in 2012, VCA Animal Care Clinic in 2021, and VCA Old River in 2026. Kim continues to work toward her goal of becoming a certified veterinary practice manager.
Animals immediately became Kim's first love. She grew up with a variety of household pet dogs, chickens, rodents, fish and birds. Kim enjoys roller skating, cowboy action competitions, and camping, but her second love in life is cars. She enjoys motorsports, hot rods and muscle cars. With her husband, she previously owned a bay area auto repair facility specializing in classic cars. She now lives on five acres with her husband and their "kids" with four paws—pit bulls and Great Danes—and many cars.
