Dr. Kate Kerr was born and raised in New England. She attended the University of Vermont for her undergraduate studies before moving to Colorado to attend the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. After working as a veterinary technician for several years, she decided to take her education to the next level. She attended the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, and spent her clinical year at the University of Florida. Dr. Kerr received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Her professional interests include dentistry, internal medicine, preventative medicine, radiology, soft tissue surgery and acupuncture. Dr. Kerr leads Team Orchard as our Medical Director. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys scuba diving, hiking and traveling with her husband, Rick, and their two boys, Liam and Conor. She is also a proud dog mom to her perfect pug, Tallulah.
