Liver shunts are portosystemic vascular anomalies causing some of the blood supply to be shunted away from the liver leading to deterioration of liver function. Our emergency/critical care, internal medicine, radiology, and surgery departments offer a collaborative approach to the diagnosis and management of this disease.
