Dr. Josephine Yao is originally from New Jersey and grew up surrounded by dogs, turtles, rabbits, and more! She earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis, in 2019, and then went on to receive her veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2023.
Following graduation, Dr. Yao spent three years working in general practice in Oxfordshire, England, before moving to Washington.
She is very excited to be part of such a wonderful team and looks forward to continuing to develop her interests in surgery while getting to know all the wonderful patients at VCA Redwood.
Outside of work, Dr. Yao enjoys traveling, hiking, and taking endless photos of her orange cat, Tango!
