Dr. Andrea Glasser was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and grew up in Anaheim, California. In 1983 she received her Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA with a major in psychobiology. She obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana in 1990 and has been working at VCA Rossmoor El Dorado Animal Hospital ever since. Dr. Glasser was Medical Director of VCA Rossmoor from 1995 to 2006.
Dr. Glasser enjoys working with all small animals not only dogs and cats but also tortoises and other reptiles, rabbits, rodents, guinea pigs and hamsters. Dr. Glasser is married and has two wonderful boys. Her pets include Franklin, a very handsome rescue poodle mix with 3 adorable legs and Relic, an elderly California Desert Tortoise. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family, reading, sewing, and photography. Dr. Glasser is a breast cancer survivor since 2004 and is very active in fundraising for the awareness and treatment of breast cancer.
