Dr. John Hartwick attended Michigan State University, from where he received his bachelor's degree and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with high honor. Postgraduate studies enabled him to obtain his certification by American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. ABVP Diplomates have proven knowledge and expertise above and beyond what is required to practice veterinary medicine. 

Dr. Hartwick's specialties include canine and feline practice. ABVP Diplomates must re-qualify every ten years, making it the only veterinary specialty board whom requires recertification. His special areas of interests are in general practice, internal medicine and soft tissue surgery.
