Hospital Manager
Lysa earned her MBA at the University of Phoenix and is an avid animal lover with over 20 years of experience in the field. Lysa wears many hats at our hospital–recruiting, interviewing, managing the boarding and technician assistant staff, overseeing our Behavior service and so much more. Lysa enjoys utilizing a positive reinforcement mindset to build strong teams and help employees grow in their desired career paths.

Lysa is also a CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed) and Fear Free Certified Professional. Before coming to VCA South Shore, Lysa was co-owner of the largest dog daycare and training facility in southern CA. Lysa and her dogs have also competed and placed in Purina's Incredible Dog Challenge. Lysa is a huge advocate for positive, rewards-based training and enjoys seeing dogs and their owners grow together over the course of her training sessions. Lysa runs our dog training program–VCA South Shore Dog Training Academy–and has helped numerous dogs and their owners form amazing partnerships over the years.

Administration

The hospital administration team consists of management personnel who oversee all staff members, hospital activities and the facilities. Together, they keep the hospital running smoothly, ensuring quality patient care and excellent client service. From the moment you check in, our administrative staff is here to deliver the best possible experience to you and your pet before, during and after your visit.
