Dr. Stephanie Ninnemann is a native of Jackson Hole and a graduate of Jackson Hole High School (Go Broncs!). She completed her bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences at Colorado State University with dual honors and then continued at CSU for both her master's degree (also in biomedical science) as well as her DVM.
During her time at CSU's veterinary school, Dr. Ninnemann completed additional elective classes in veterinary acupuncture/pain management and veterinary roles in disaster management. Her passions in veterinary medicine include preventive medicine, feline medicine, veterinary education in the community, and enriching the human-animal bond between her patients and their owners. Dr. Ninnemann is a Fear Free Elite level practitioner and a member of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association nationally.
Following school, Dr. Ninnemann practiced in Cheyenne, WY; Bozeman, MT; and, most recently, Aspen, CO prior to returning to her hometown.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Ninnemann is very passionate about community involvement. She is a former competitive and professional figure skater (she served as captain of the collegiate team at CSU for three years and has coached in Fort Collins and Aspen Colorado, as well as here in Jackson). She is a trumpet player, certified SCUBA diver, outdoors aficionado, travel enthusiast and aspiring cook. She is involved in many organizations in the community, including local figure skating groups, the Jackson Hole Community Band, the Jazz Foundation of Jackson Hole, and the Davy Jackson Chapter of the DAR. She also hosts a weekly veterinary education radio show on KJAX 93.5 and has traveled to neighboring states to aid with various 4H Feline programs.
Dr. Ninnemann is a proud cat mama of several cats including two who are differently abled; Meeko had a portion of his back leg surgically removed by Dr. Ninnemann following injury and Lieutenant was born without back paws. You might even meet one of them hanging out with the clinic front desk staff from time to time!
