Dr. Lara Baxter grew up in New York's Hudson Valley, coming to Maine for family camping trips. She settled down here after finishing school at St. George's University, completing her clinical year at University of Wisconsin.

Dr. Baxter is a Fear Free Certified veterinarian and takes pride in providing care with as little stress to the pet as possible. She has been practicing in the greater Portland area since 2020. Dr. Baxter is excited to join the team at VCA Standish where she enjoys gardening, kayaking, and spending time outdoors.
