Mike G.
Team Lead, Veterinary Assistant

Mike has been with VCA University Veterinary Clinic since 1996 where he started as a kennel attendant, working under Dr. David Jackson. Over the years, life has taken Mike onto other endeavors but he always found his way back "home." Mike enjoys the fast-paced environment, as well as the variety of tasks that must be performed with each patient. In particular, Mike's favorite aspects of his job are performing dentals, assisting in surgeries and training new employees. He also especially enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of not only our patients, but also their owners.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending his time fishing and grilling MOB (meat on bone) food. He also shares his home and loves hanging out with his dog (Forrest Gump, a Golden Retriever) and adopted cat (The Great Thomas Cooley of UVC).

"The reason why I work for VCA University Veterinary Clinic is because of my passion, dedication, and love for all types of animals. I enjoy being able to help diagnose and help the doctors execute treatments for our patients to extend the quality of their lives. I also enjoy interacting with our clients, and educating them to make the best decisions for the health of their pets."
