Dr. Suzanne Hanson has been in the veterinary field since receiving her veterinary degree from UC Davis in 1987. She owned Animal Health Care Hospital before joining Mangrove Veterinary Hospital in 1991. Now she is very happy to be a part of VCA Valley Oak Veterinary Center and her favorite areas of practice are preventative/wellness medicine and routine surgery.

In her spare time, Dr. Hanson enjoys cooking and she is very involved with the Northwest SPCA. She shares her home with two older cats, one of whom she describes as a "terrorist in a tuxedo" and an older "socially handicapped hermit." She has also recently adopted two kittens that provide endless funny anecdotes.
