Liz Davila

Liz Davila began her veterinary career after graduating from the Veterinary Assistant Program at PIMA Medical Institute in 2002. Shortly after, she joined VCA Vet Care in July of the same year, and has been an integral part of the hospital ever since.

Liz started as an overnight ER veterinary technician, later transitioning to daytime treatment and exam room support. Her dedication and skill were soon recognized by the Internal Medicine department, where she was recruited to assist with a high-demand service. In her pursuit to better understand and support the specialty departments, Liz also worked with the Surgery team.

In 2010, Liz was promoted to Client Service Manager for the referral service. Observing the need for improved scheduling, charge capture, and patient coordination, she created the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) service. This service was designed to streamline both urgent and routine referrals while managing charges for hospitalized specialty patients. Under Liz’s leadership, the PCC team grew from a single coordinator to five, significantly enhancing service to the veterinary community.

In 2020, Liz advanced to the role of Office Manager, and a year later, she was promoted to Hospital Manager. By 2023, she stepped into a new dual role as Referral Coordinator and PCC Supervisor. With her deep roots in the referral network and longstanding relationships across the veterinary community, Liz ensures consistent communication, collaboration, and advocacy on behalf of VCA Vet Care.

Liz remains the primary point of contact for referring hospitals and continues to lead efforts to optimize the referral process, elevating the client and patient experience across all specialty services.
