As a young child, Dr. Ma remembers being so fascinated by animal rescue shows and loving to see the medical team nurse injured or sick animals back to health. Her family also had many different pets of their own from rabbits, hamsters and dogs to fish and turtles. As Dr. Ma learned first-hand how to take care of them, she realized what an incredible and special bond we can have with animals. By the age of 9, Dr. Ma already knew she wanted to become a veterinarian and still can't believe she is living that dream to this day! 

Dr. Ma is a California native and received her Bachelor's degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from UC Davis. She completed her veterinary degree at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in 2014 and practiced in California for the last 8years. Recently, Dr. Ma and her family relocated to Colorado and are looking forward to their new adventure ahead. 

In her free time, Dr. Ma enjoys running, hiking, traveling, arts and crafts, and spending time with her husband, Ted, 2 year old son, Tristan, and fur-baby, Nala.

Dr. Ma enjoys building relationships with her patients and their families and being able to help their furry friends feel better when they are sick. It is rewarding for her to see the unbreakable bond that exists between humans and animals. Dr. Ma particularly enjoys soft tissue surgery, dentistry, preventive and geriatric care.
