Jennifer Galbraith
Staff Veterinarian DVM
Dr. Jen Galbraith grew up in Linden, Michigan with her parents, younger brother, and the family golden retriever. In high school, she worked at a local veterinary hospital where her life-long love of the human animal bond blossomed and strengthened. She then moved to East Lansing to attend Michigan State University where she studied and received a bachelor’s of science in animal science. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she lived above a veterinary clinic in DeWitt where she helped manage emergency cases after hours. She was also working at MSU’s veterinary diagnostic laboratory during this time. Dr. Galbraith was admitted to the veterinary medical program at MSU in 2013.

Dr. Galbraith enjoys the company of animals large and small, but has a passion for companion animal medicine as she absolutely considers her animals to be her family. During veterinary school, Dr. Galbraith sought additional training in behavioral medicine and developed a strong interest in helping families manage their animal’s separation anxiety, aggression, etc. in order to preserve the human-animal bond.

She currently lives in West Lansing with her fiancé, Nick, and her four animals: two golden retrievers (Raymond and Gary), Jack Russell terrier (Moose), pit mix (Gus), and Bengal cat (Peter Waffles). In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, kayaking, traveling, and photography. Dr. Galbraith looks forward to meeting and working with VCA Woodland Animal Hospital’s clients and patients!
