Staff Veterinarian DVM, MPH

I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with my parents, my sister, my brother, and our mixed breed family dog. I have wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as I can remember! In high school I volunteered at a local humane society walking and socializing dogs and learning from the veterinary staff, and I worked with them to earn my Girl Scout Gold Award. I graduated from Forest Hills Central High School in 2008, and moved to East Lansing, Michigan, to attend Michigan State University. In East Lansing I began working at a local veterinary hospital, learning more about veterinary medicine and reinforcing my love of animals and animal care. In 2012 I received my B.S. in Zoology and in 2015 I received my Master's in Public Health from Michigan State University. I completed my Doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University in 2020.

I will be moving back to Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the fall of 2020 with my boyfriend and our 3 rescue cats, Tippie, Lola, and Lucy, as well as our Betta fish, Finnegan. In my spare time I enjoy cuddling with our cats, reading, gardening, kayaking, hiking, traveling, riding my motorcycle, volunteering at local animal rescues, and spending time with my family. I am looking forward to developing my skills and exploring new interests in the field of veterinary medicine at VCA Woodland. I am excited to interact with the clients and patients of VCA Woodland and look forward to developing relationships in the VCA community. I can't wait to meet you!
