Born and raised in Sacramento, CA, Dr. Kathryn Vanderslice earned their veterinary degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. They completed additional training through a small animal rotating internship, followed by an exotics specialty internship. Dr. Vanderslice has a special interest in caring for all types of animals—from rats and rabbits to cockatoos and geckos—in addition to cats and dogs. They are especially passionate about education and enjoy sharing their knowledge to help families and their pets receive the best care possible.
In their spare time, Dr. Vanderslice enjoys baking, knitting, hiking, and spending time with their two cats, Mango and Sir, as well as their ball python, Molly, and corn snake, Gus.
