Dr. Amavizca is a California native and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Biochemistry from CSU. She then went on to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. Following graduation, she completed a rigorous rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. Dr. Amavizca has over 11 years experience working in the veterinary industry and her special interests include toxicities, endocrinological emergencies, and practicing fear free medicine. Dr. Amavizca has a passion for traveling and shares her life with her fiance, Briyant, and their 5 furry children.
