Dr. Kolander always knew she wanted to work with animals. Her love of animals stems from the many stray cats that showed up at her grandma's house throughout the years that she would successfully tame, with lots of time, patience and treats. She graduated in 2006 from Minnesota State University-Mankato with a B.S in Zoology and a minor in chemistry. After taking some time off after obtaining her undergraduate degree, she opted to go to school at St. George's University in Grenada and graduated in 2013 after completing her 4th year at the University of Florida.  

Dr. Kolander loved living in Florida after graduation, but opted to move back home after having children. When Dr. Kolander isn't treating her patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching her kids play sports, and any summertime activity, especially swimming.

Dr. Kolander's professional interests include dermatology, dentistry, and client education. She is happy to call VCA her home and enjoys building relationships with her clients and their furry friends.
