Rhonda Schulman

Dr. Rhonda Schulman received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1994 from the University of California, Davis College of Veterinary Medicine. After veterinary school, she completed a one-year rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at The University of Pennsylvania, followed by a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at The University of Illinois. In 1999, she became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. 

After becoming a board-certified Internist, she returned to The University of Illinois, first as a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor and later taking on the role of Assistant Professor. After five years of teaching and greatly missing patient care, Dr. Schulman returned to a private specialty practice in Tucson, AZ. In 2007, she moved to Los Angeles and joined Animal Specialty Group. Since then, Dr. Schulman has authored numerous book chapters, journal articles, and has lectured nationally on a variety of Internal Medicine topics, most extensively in endocrinology.

Dr. Schulman resides with her husband, John, a veterinary dermatologist, two beautiful human children, and a mix of pets, dogs and cats. Outside of work, her primary hobbies are reading mystery novels and running half-marathons as slowly as possible.
