Dr. Ayako Zabalaga is a Los Angeles native who was born, raised, and educated in the City of Angels. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in 2021 and subsequently completed a one-year rotating internship in West Los Angeles, where she refined her expertise in emergency medicine.
Throughout her career, Dr. Zabalaga has been committed to delivering high-quality veterinary care with a compassionate approach, consistently honoring the profound bond between humans and animals that inspired her to pursue the field.
Dr. Zabalaga continues to reside in Los Angeles with her husband and their dog. In her personal time, she enjoys a variety of interests alongside her husband including cooking, traveling, collecting and constructing Lego sets, supporting the Los Angeles Dodgers, and watching comedy and drama series on television.
