Emergency Veterinarian

DVM

Dr. Joshua Laske, a Michigan native, earned his Bachelor of Science at Michigan State University and continued on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. During that time, he worked in a veterinary ophthalmology laboratory studying achromatopsia, a genetic disorder in which dogs are born without cones in their retinas.

Throughout veterinary school, Dr Laske was involved in multiple student organizations at MSU, including the student chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association, and he was president of the chapter of Omega Tau Sigma, a veterinary, service-based, fraternity. After graduation, Dr. Laske moved to Los Angeles where he completed a rotating internship at VCA Animal Specialty and Emergency Center. During his internship, he affirmed his passion for emergency and critical care medicine and was excited to stay in the Los Angeles area to join the Emergency and Critical Care team at VCA Animal Specialty Group where he has a special interest in immune mediated emergencies, toxins, and feline medicine.

He currently resides in Sherman Oaks with his partner and his two feline queens, Sephora and Eva Purron.
