Dr. Kyla Alvarez graduated from Western University of Health Sciences with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she pursued advanced training, completing both a rotating internship and a specialty internship in internal medicine at VCA Animal Specialty Group.
Currently, Dr. Alvarez works as the Internal Medicine hospitalist, focusing exclusively on hospitalized patients. In this role, she plays a large part in providing consistent patient care, offering cohesive medical management and monitoring for internal medicine cases. Additionally, she directly supports the internists in case evaluation and management, ensuring high-quality care for patients.
When Dr. Alvarez is not working, she enjoys trying new restaurants and spending time with her three dogs, two Boston terriers and a Mexican hairless.
