Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Libby Mannucci has never been tempted to leave the sunshine. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, while her rotating internship was completed at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Marcos. This was where she discovered her true love of emergency and critical medicine. She then returned to Los Angeles for an Emergency and Critical Care Residency at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital.

Getting to stay close to home and work her dream job, Dr. Mannucci elected to join our Emergency & Critical Care team as a Staff Criticalist. Her areas of research include sepsis, trauma, and post-operative management of critically ill patients.

She now lives in Los Angeles with her partner and two cats, Rabbit and Willow. She continues to take advantage of the Southern California weather to visit the beach and farmers markets while basking in the sunshine.
