Sarah Mete
Staff Veterinarian DVM
Dr. Sarah Mete is a lifetime local of SLO County who grew up in Atascadero. She is a second generation Cal Poly graduate and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Michigan State University. While in veterinary school, Dr. Mete served on several executive boards and as a student representative for VCA Animal Hospitals. After four years in the Midwest, Dr. Mete was eager to return to familiar sunny skies to provide veterinary care to the Central Coast community.

Professionally, Dr. Mete is passionate about effective client communication and fostering the human-animal bond. She additionally holds numerous certifications in Fear Free, compassionate euthanasia (CAETA), QPR Suicide Prevention, and Diversity and Inclusion in Veterinary Medicine (Purdue University).

When she's not at the clinic, Dr. Mete can be found hiking locally, baking, or spending time with family and friends. She and her boyfriend also enjoy the company of their numerous furry family members, including her Redbone Coonhound, "Copper", that only posed for this photo after being promised a treat.

Dr. Mete is thrilled to have her dream of practicing veterinary medicine in the Central Coast come to fruition with the fabulous team at VCA Arroyo Grande Animal Hospital.
