Hi there! My name is Ham, short for Hamish, but you can call me whatever you like (i.e., Hambone, Hamisha, or Ham and Cheese). I'm the official feline resident here at VCA Aspenwood Animal Hospital. I'm 14 years old now, but I've only been with the team for about two years. Before that, my history is a bit of a mystery—I don't like to talk about it much, but I'm happy to be here now. The good people at Aspenwood rescued me when I was about 12, and I'm pretty sure I've been living my best life ever since.

I like to spend my days exploring every corner of the hospital, checking in on the patients, and making sure everyone is being taken care of. I love to greet people, both furry and human, with my signature demanding "meow." It's loud, it's persistent, and it's my way of saying, "I'm here, and you're lucky to see me!" I have a special way of letting everyone know that I'm the boss—don't worry, I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Now, I may be getting up there in age, but I've got my own unique style. My gait is a little wobbly, but it's just part of my charm. I've had some health bumps along the way, but I still get around just fine (if a little slower than I used to). My owners say it just adds to my character, and I think they're right.

One of my favorite things is to supervise all the action. I might be restricted to the "back" treatment area, but I am still able to keep a close eye on everyone. I make sure the staff are doing their jobs right and that all the patients are being treated with the love and care they deserve. If something's not up to my standards, I'll make sure to let you know.
